Tutor

Teach the batch. Leave the admin to the institute.

The timetable, the students in front of them, and Maya when the lesson needs a draft.

  1. Courses they teach

A tutor opens the courses they are assigned. They see the lessons, the batch, and the work for those courses. They do not see every course in the institute, and they do not manage enrolments for a batch that is not theirs.

  2. Live class and calendar

The timetable shows the classes this tutor is teaching. They open the live session from the calendar, teach it, and leave the recording with that session. Another tutor’s week is not on their screen.

  3. Roster for their batches

The roster is the list of students in the batches they teach. They can see who is enrolled and mark the class. Adding or removing someone from the institute is the owner’s job. The tutor works the list in front of them.

  4. Assignments and exams

Homework, quizzes, and exams are set on the course they teach. Students submit there. The tutor marks that work. The grade stays on the course, so the owner and the parent can see it without asking for a screenshot.

  5. Assignment hub

The hub is the desk for work that has gone out: what was sent, who has submitted, and what is still open. It is the tracking view. The assignment itself still lives on the course. The tutor uses the hub so they are not counting replies in a chat.

  6. Their students

My Students is the people view: the learners in this tutor’s batches, with the context the tutor needs to teach them. It is not the full institute directory, and it is not the fee ledger.

  7. Attendance

The tutor marks the register for their class. Present, absent, or late sits on the student for that session. The parent can see it later. The owner can see it across tutors. The tutor is not keeping a paper list to type in afterwards.

  8. AI course builder

When a tutor is allowed to build, Maya drafts a syllabus, the lesson split, and a quiz from the subject they teach. They edit the draft and it becomes course material. They are not starting from a blank document the night before.

  9. Magic Notes

Maya writes a one-page handwritten study sheet from a topic. The sheet is saved in the institute’s Magic Notes library, and the tutor can share it with the students on that class. It is a note meant to be kept, not a chat reply that scrolls away.

  10. Online lessons

Recorded lessons the institute sells or assigns sit with the tutor when they are part of that course. The tutor can see the on-demand material beside the live batch. Selling and pricing the course stays with the owner.

  11. Maya in class and in chat

During the week, the tutor asks Maya for the timetable, who was absent, a class change, or a draft of the next lesson. She answers from the institute’s records, only what a tutor is allowed to see. No setup, on the website and in the app.

  12. Messages and the notice board

The tutor posts to their batch and reads the messages on their classes. A notice from the owner shows up on the board. They are not running a parallel group chat for the same announcement, and they do not see messages that belong to another batch.

  13. Teaching profile

The profile is how the tutor appears to the institute and to families: the subject, the bio, the face on the batch. They keep it current. The owner still decides which courses they teach.
