Student

Show up, do the work, ask Maya.

One home for the course, the live class, and what is due.

  1. Their courses

A student sees the courses they are enrolled in. Lessons, materials, and what is due sit on that course. They do not browse the rest of the institute’s catalogue unless you have published something for them to join.

  2. Live classes and calendar

The calendar shows their classes, not the whole institute. They join the live session from there. When it is over, the session stays on the day it happened, so “what did I miss” has an answer.

  3. Quizzes and assignments

Work the tutor set is listed on the course. The student submits on the platform. They can see what is still open and what has already been handed in, instead of sending a file into a chat and hoping it arrived.

  4. Scores and attendance

Marks and presence are on the student’s own record. They can see a score after it is graded and whether they were marked in class. They cannot see another student’s grades.

  5. Recordings and notes

If the class was recorded, the recording stays with that session for the student to play back. Notes and sheets the tutor shared, including a Magic Note, sit with the materials. The catch-up does not depend on someone forwarding a link.

  6. Maya as a study companion

The student asks Maya what is due, what the last class covered, and for help on their own course. She answers from that student’s material and only what a student is allowed to see. She is not a second tutor with access to the institute’s books.

  7. Messages and the notice board

Announcements for their batch and messages about their classes show up here. They are not added to a group they cannot search. A notice meant for parents does not have to be their problem to forward.

  8. Forms and consent

A form the institute needs — consent, a detail, a signature — is assigned to the student or the family and completed on the record. It is not an attachment lost in email.

  9. Profile

The student keeps their own name, photo, and contact details. The academic record around that profile is the institute’s. They can see their side of it. They cannot edit a grade or an invoice.
