Included on the one plan
Parent
The week, without a group chat.
Each child, the class, the progress, and the fee, in one login.
Every child in one login
A parent with two children does not keep two accounts. Both children are on the one login, and the parent switches between them. They see only their own children, never the rest of the batch.
Calendar
The week ahead is the children’s classes, not a feed of the whole institute. A parent can see when the next session is without texting the tutor to ask.
Courses
The parent can see the courses each child is enrolled in and the materials that have been shared with families. They are not enrolled as a student. They are looking in on the child’s course.
Weekly letter
One page for the child: how the week went, written from the records rather than composed from scratch in a chat. The parent reads it in their login. It replaces the Sunday night message that used to try to cover the same ground.
Attendance and progress
Presence and results for their child, session by session. A missed class is visible without calling the centre. Scores show when they have been graded. Other children’s results are not on this screen.
Fees, receipts, and pay links
What is due, what was paid, and the receipt sit with the child. A pay link takes the family to the gateway the institute uses — Razorpay in India, Stripe elsewhere. The parent pays the institute’s fee. Pathshala does not add a commission on that payment.
Messages and the notice board
Notices meant for families, and messages about their child, arrive here. The parent does not have to be in a group chat to hear that class moved or that a form is due.
Maya for questions about their child
A parent asks Maya about attendance, progress, the fee, or the note from the tutor. She answers from that child’s record, and only what a parent is allowed to see. She does not discuss another family.
