Roles on Pathshala

A tutor can be given admin access without changing their primary role — useful for senior teachers who help run the institute.

How to invite someone

Invite a tutor

  1. User Management → Invite tutor (or Dashboard → Tutors → Invite tutor)
  2. Enter name and email
  3. Click Send invitation
  4. They receive an email with a link to create their account and join your institute

Invite a student

  1. User Management → Invite student
  2. Enter name and email → Send invitation
  3. Student accepts the invite and lands on their student dashboard

Invite another admin

  1. User Management → Invite admin
  2. Only the primary admin should invite co-admins you trust with full access

Approving new members

If your institute requires approval (configured in module settings), new sign-ups appear under Pending approvals.

  1. Open Pending approvals
  2. Review the person’s details
  3. Click Approve to grant access, or reject if needed

Your dashboard home also shows alerts like “Tutor approvals pending” with a direct link.

Managing existing users

On the Active users tab, click any person to see actions:

Directories (Tutors & Students pages)

Besides User Management, you have shortcut pages:

Students and tutors can also see these directories if you enable them in Settings → Modules (directory visibility settings).

Plan limits

Your plan caps how many students and tutors you can add. The Students page shows your current count vs. limit. To add more, upgrade via Finance → Your Pathshala Subscription.
