Before you can pay
- You must be enrolled as a Student at the institute
- Your institute must have payment collection set up (Institute plan+)
- Your admin must have created fee items (tuition, admission fee, etc.)
If you don’t see a Pay button, contact your institute — they may still be setting up payments.
Where to find fees
Fees appear on your course detail page — the page for a specific course you’re enrolled in.
- Log in to your institute portal
- Go to Dashboard → open an enrolled course (or Browse Courses → your course)
- Scroll to the Course fees section
- Each fee shows a name and amount (in your institute’s currency)
Your dashboard may also show an Outstanding payment reminder with a link to your profile or courses.
How to pay — step by step
- On the course page, find the fee you need to pay (e.g. “Monthly tuition — March”)
- Click Pay next to the amount
- A secure checkout page opens (hosted by the payment provider — not Pathshala directly)
- Choose your payment method and complete payment
- You see a confirmation — payment is recorded instantly
Payment methods
Available methods depend on your institute’s country and payment setup. Common options:
- Cards — credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, and local networks)
- Digital wallets — where supported in your region
- Bank transfer / net banking — in some countries
- UPI and local apps — common in India
The checkout page shows exactly which methods are available for your payment.
Pathshala never stores your card number, PIN, or banking password. Payment data is handled by certified payment providers.
After payment
- You receive a confirmation on screen
- A receipt is generated — your institute can share it by email or you can request it from them
- The fee no longer shows as outstanding on your course page
- Your institute sees the payment in their Transactions dashboard
Who receives the money?
Your payment goes to your institute — not to Pathshala. Pathshala only facilitates the transaction. Your institute’s name appears on the checkout page as the merchant.
A small processing fee is deducted before the institute receives the funds (typically around 4% total — see Payments & billing guide for details).
Refunds
If you need a refund, contact your institute admin first. They can issue a full or partial refund from their dashboard. Refunds usually take 5–7 business days to reach your original payment method.
Pathshala cannot refund student fees directly — only your institute can.
Problems paying?
- No Pay button — institute hasn’t set up fees yet; contact them
- Payment failed — try another method or check with your bank; no charge if it failed
- Paid but still shows due — wait a few minutes and refresh; contact institute if it persists
- Wrong amount — contact your institute admin to correct the fee
