Where to go

Dashboard → Settings

Four tabs: Organization, Branding, Custom Domain, Modules.

Branding and Custom Domain need the Institute plan (or above) and the White-Label Branding module enabled.

1. Organization details

Settings → Organization

  1. Open the Identity section.
  2. Enter Display Name (required) — the name students and parents see.
  3. Add a Tagline (optional) — e.g. “Excellence in STEM education”.
  4. Write a short Description for your public institute page.
  5. Click Save changes.

The right panel shows your Institute ID, subscription plan, and status. Use Manage plan to open Finance.

Only the primary institute admin can edit identity fields. Other admins see read-only info.

2. Branding — logo and colours

Settings → Branding

  1. Choose a theme colour from the palette or enter your brand hex code.
  2. Upload your logo (PNG, JPEG, SVG, or WebP).
  3. Pick a logo style: none, glow, recolor, or invert — whatever looks best on light and dark backgrounds.
  4. Preview changes live on the page.
  5. Save when you’re happy.

Your logo and colours appear across the portal — sidebar, login page, and student-facing screens.

Some plans allow a custom homepage (ZIP upload). If you see this option, follow the on-screen instructions or contact support.

3. Custom domain (optional)

Settings → Custom Domain

By default your portal lives at your-slug.pathshala.co. You can use your own domain (e.g. portal.yourinstitute.com) instead.

  1. Enter your desired domain in the setup form.
  2. Pathshala shows DNS records to add at your domain registrar (usually a CNAME or TXT record).
  3. Status moves from Pending verificationActive once DNS propagates (can take up to 48 hours).

Custom domains are set up with Pathshala support. If you get stuck, email support@pathshala.co.

4. Modules — turn features on or off

Settings → Modules

Each module controls a part of your portal. Examples:

Click a module to toggle it or adjust settings (e.g. session approval rules, directory visibility).
